1.   This series of Textile Design Collections introduces a collection of basic textile patterns from many good textile artists.  They are intended to serve as an informative source to provide for the needs of textile designers as well as graphic, commercial, and industrial designers.  The art of designing can be linked to all professional fields, especially in clothing decoration, which is significant in modern lifestyle.  All individuals have the desire to improve themselves and be as attractive as much as possible.  This being true not only for humans, but all organisms as well.

2.   The basic desire for ornamentation is part of each person's nature and as a result part of society.  In modern times, the variety of clothing being created is a reflection of the increasing diverse way in which people lead their lives.  The expansion of textile design is not restricted only to women's clothing but also stretches to incorporate children's and men's clothing as well.  With the increase the standard of living and buying power, people wish to have greater individuality, to make a statement, and to have uniqueness in clothes, homes and other possessions.  In responding to these needs, designers must be open to any stimuli, giving them fresh ideas to create with.  In the designing world, there is a continuous flow of information and each designer has to be aware and be responsive to society's needs and demands.  This Textile Design Collections is compiled to address the people's needs by being a marvelous work reference for both designers and the general public.
